Samsung Galaxy A56 leaked from all sides

Leakster Evan Blass has shared a set of GIFs of the mid-range Samsung Galaxy A56, showing the phone in four colors and from different angles. The Galaxy A56 is rumored to be unveiled in March, around the same time as competing devices from Apple and Google.

New animations from evleaks show the A56 in silver, pink, black, and pale green colors. They show the phone with flat edges, a thick display bezel that’s thicker at the bottom, and an updated camera island that holds three lenses along with a black stand. Other things that stand out – literally – are the power and volume buttons, which are now on an island that rises slightly above the edge of the phone, rather than being flush with it.

This is not the first time we’ve seen this design. Android Headlines shared a render showing a similar look in November 2024, and Samsung’s own renders were found on the Chinese certification site TENAA, so we’re pretty sure this is what the A56 will look like.

As for the specifications, we’re not so sure. Early Geekbench results believed to be from the A56 suggest that it will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 1580 chipset. Leaked certificates point to a 5000 mAh battery and 45W wired charging – which would be a bit unexpected, as the flagship Galaxy S25 is still limited to a slower 25W rate. GalaxyClub reports that the rear cameras will be similar to the last two generations, with a 50-megapixel primary camera in addition to a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and 5-megapixel macro, although the selfie camera will at least get an upgrade to a new 12-megapixel sensor.

The Galaxy A56 is likely to hit the market alongside the more affordable A36 and A26 models. Samsung released the last four generations in mid-March, so that’s when we expect to see these phones as well. The big question about the A56 is whether it will be released in the US market; two years ago, we were mostly fans of the $449 Galaxy A54, but the A55 didn’t make it to the US market at all.

This year, Samsung may want to ensure its presence in the US market. Apple is expected to announce a new version of its similarly priced iPhone SE either this week or next, and Google’s mid-range Pixel 9a is also expected to be unveiled in March, several months earlier than the previous generations were announced in the summer.
