Automatic identification equipment to be installed on the trains and railway infrastructure in Russia. The act which implies this measure will take effect on July 1, 2010.
Russian Global Navigation System GLONASS will provide positioning services for the railway transport. Russian Railway company was also ordered to set data acquisition servers, communication links, data coding and processing centers.
