Redmi K70 Pro is confirmed to get Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand has officially announced the launch date of the Redmi K70 series. The new lineup, which will debut on November 29, will consist of three smartphones – Redmi K70, Redmi K70E, and Redmi K70 Pro.

Xiaomi has already revealed the main characteristics of the Redmi K70E, confirming that it will be powered by the Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor and will have a 5500 mAh battery with 90W fast charging capability. In addition, the K70E will have a 12-bit display with a resolution of 1.5K and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits.

The new teaser confirms that the top-end Redmi K70 Pro will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Xiaomi has also announced a new ice cooling system for the smartphone, which reportedly uses new materials of its own design to dissipate heat.

Redmi also emphasizes the smartphone’s artificial intelligence capabilities. Like the K70E, the Pro model is also expected to feature generative AI capabilities, allowing users to create sentences and images using prompts.

Although the exact SoC for the base Redmi K70 remains unconfirmed, a recent leak suggests that it will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

It is expected that Redmi will reveal more information about the Redmi K70 series in the coming days before the launch on November 29. Stay tuned for updates.
