Redmi Buds 5 Pro with 52 dB ANC and spatial sound announced in China

Xiaomi today released several products under its Redmi sub-brand, including the K70 series of smartphones, Redmi Watch 4, and others. The company also announced Redmi Buds 5 Pro. As the name suggests, it is an updated version of the Buds 5 headphones that were launched earlier this year. The newest TWS earbuds are touted as offering the best sound quality in the history of Redmi earbuds. Read on to find out what the audio device offers out of the box.

Technical specifications of Redmi Buds 5 Pro

Redmi Buds 5 Pro have the same design as the non-professional version, with a semi-insertable earbud and silicone ear pads for a comfortable fit. The headphones are protected against dust and water according to the IP54 standard.

In terms of sound, the Redmi Buds 5 Pro are equipped with a 10mm tweeter and an 11mm dynamic subwoofer for clear highs and strong bass, respectively. TWS headphones have active noise cancellation up to 52 dB. There is also an adaptive AI control and an ultra-wide 4 kHz noise reduction bandwidth that automatically adjusts the noise reduction. The audio device supports the LHDC 5.0 codec for high-quality audio streaming. Notably, Buds 5 Pro also features spatial sound for a 360-degree audio immersion experience. The three-level transparency mode allows users to be more aware of their surroundings. The headphones are also capable of eliminating wind noise to ensure crisp sound quality during calls.

Redmi Buds 5 Pro is said to provide a total battery life of 38 hours. Each earbud provides 10 and 6.5 hours of use with ANC off and on, respectively.

Redmi Buds 5 Pro is available in white, obsidian black, and ice porcelain blue. It is priced at 399 Chinese yuan (~56 USD).
