Razer has released a new version of the DeathAdder Pro gaming mouse

Razer announces the new DeathAdder V4 Pro gaming mouse priced at $169.99. This new version of the popular wireless mouse promises to be faster, lighter, and more energy efficient than its predecessor, the V3 Pro.

The V4 Pro now uses optical sensors for the left and right buttons, which are rated for 100 million clicks. It’s also the first Razer model to use an optical sensor scroll wheel rather than a mechanical one. Razer claims that the optical scroll wheel sensor is more accurate, offering “triple the durability and stable, tactile control even during intense gameplay.”

The new DeathAdder Pro supports polling rates up to 8,000 Hz in both wireless and wired modes, thanks to HyperSpeed Wireless Gen 2 connectivity. However, to get Razer’s claimed battery life of up to 150 hours, you’ll have to use a mouse with a much lower 1,000Hz polling rate (which is still pretty fast, to be honest).

Since this mouse is designed for fast action during intense eSports matches, its 45K optical sensor supports tracking at up to 45,000 DPI. Moreover, the black version of the new DeathAdder weighs only 56 grams, while the white model weighs one gram more.

The promised characteristics are impressive. But on the other hand, DeathAdder has an asymmetrical design for right-handed users. And thanks to its slightly enlarged shape, the mouse is suitable for users with large hands who can hold it without discomfort. The DeathAdder V4 Pro is already available for pre-order on Razer’s website and is expected to ship on July 24.
