Last night, rashists attacked Odesa region again. An administrative building was destroyed in the center of Odesa. There are four victims.
The hits in the region concerned logistics facilities – these are warehouses. Missiles of various types were used. A submarine on duty in the Black Sea and strategic aviation were attacked. Coastal missile systems were used.
The enemy also launched a missile attack on Mykolaiv. Residential high-rise buildings in the city center, garages and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.
Last night, 18 air targets were destroyed. In total, the enemy fired 38 rounds of ammunition – 19 cruise missiles and 19 kamikaze drones:
- 7 Onyx cruise missiles;
- 4 X-22 air-launched cruise missiles;
- 3 Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles;
- 5 Iskander-K land-launched cruise missiles;
- 19 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs.
Yuriy Ihnat, spokesman for the Air Force of Ukraine, explains why X-22 and Oniks missiles cannot be shot down:
“X-22 missiles fly at high speeds – over 4000 km/h – and enter the target along a ballistic trajectory, they require Patriot”.
He emphasizes that Oniks are anti-ship missiles that initially fly at high altitude, their speed is over 3000 km/h. And when they hit the target, they descend to 10-15 meters, very low above the water surface, so it is difficult to detect them, let alone shoot them down.
