The long-awaited Powerbeats Pro 2 may officially debut in a little over a week. In the Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman reports that sources have told him that the $250 headphones will arrive on February 11 and will feature heart rate monitoring in addition to upgrades such as an H2 chip and improved noise cancellation. According to Gurman, we will also see new colors, such as orange. Beats first hinted at the upcoming launch of the Powerbeats Pro 2 back in September, saying only that they would be available in 2025, and has since posted photos of athletes rocking them on Instagram.
It is also reported that Apple is working on a new event invitation service for iCloud, which looks like it could compete with services like Partiful and Calendly. Details are scarce, but Gourmet reports that the iCloud-based service, codenamed Confetti, “offers a new way to invite people to parties, functions, and meetings.” He notes that it could be introduced as early as this week. Apple has recently made several updates to its Calendar app with the release of iOS 18, including a new month preview and finally, reminder tie-ins. Integration with Confetti can add another convenient scheduling feature.
