This week, OnePlus plans to launch the OnePlus 12 in China. The company is expected to release this device on global markets in January.
According to the leaks, the brand will also launch the OnePlus Ace 3 in its home country in a few days. This phone is expected to enter international markets under the name OnePlus 12R.
Just like the OnePlus 12, we’ve also been hearing about the OnePlus 12R for a few months. Now the phone has appeared in the database of several more certification agencies.
The upcoming OnePlus 12R has appeared on the IMDA and CQC websites. The latter shows that the smartphone will support 100W wired charging. This means that the new model will retain the charging speed of its predecessor OnePlus 11R.
Previous leaks suggested that the device would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. For comparison, the current generation model is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC.
In addition, the 12R will be equipped with an updated display. It is likely to be a 6.7-inch BOE X1 OLED panel with a resolution of up to 1.5 thousand dots, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a local peak brightness level of 3000 nits.
The phone is expected to keep the main (50MP Sony IMX890) and ultra-wide-angle (8MP) cameras from its predecessor. However, the 2-megapixel macro camera will be replaced with a 32-megapixel camera with dual telephoto.
Last but not least, the OnePlus 12R is powered by a larger 5500 mAh battery compared to the 5000 mAh battery in the OnePlus 11R.
