OnePlus 12 hands-on video leaked, 5400 mAh battery confirmed

Tomorrow (December 5), OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 12 in the Chinese market. Continuing its recent trend of revealing key details through posters, the brand has released promotional images again today. These latest posters reveal information about the battery size and charging capabilities of the device. In addition, a hands-on video has been posted on Weibo that gives a glimpse of the phone’s front and back design in real life. We invite you to watch the video:

OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 12 is equipped with a 5400 mAh battery designed for long-lasting use, which lasts approximately 1.79 days. The battery can withstand up to four years of regular use, maintaining at least 80% capacity after 1600 charge and discharge cycles and demonstrating a discharge efficiency of 99.5%.

The OnePlus 12 supports 100W SuperVOOC wired fast charging, which delivers a full charge in just 25 minutes, and 50W wireless charging, which delivers a full charge in 55 minutes, a first for OnePlus phones. It also has a reverse wireless charging function. In addition, it features the SuperVOOC S power management chip to optimize power consumption.

The OnePlus 12, which will be the company’s flagship phone to mark its 10th anniversary, will be a significant upgrade over last year’s OnePlus 11 in several areas. The OP11 features a smaller 5000 mAh battery with 100W charging capability. It has a 6.7-inch screen, while the OP12 has a larger 6.82-inch display that not only offers a wider aspect ratio but also boasts a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The third poster above confirms that the OP12 will be IP65-rated for dust and water protection, while the OP11 is IP64 certified.

The OP12 is expected to have up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of storage. In addition, it will have the same camera that is available on the OnePlus Open foldable phone. It goes without saying that the OP12 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which also powers other flagships such as the Xiaomi 14 series, iQOO 12 series, Meizu 21, and Realme GT 5 Pro.
