In preparation for the Switch 2 launch on June 5, Nintendo is releasing updates for even more games than previously announced. In a series of support pages spotted by Nintendo Life, Nintendo has introduced free updates designed to improve the performance of games on Switch 2.
Here’s a list of the additional games that Nintendo is updating:
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Kirby’s Dream Buffet
- Kirby Star Allies
- Super Mario 3D All-Stars
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3
- Pikmin 3 Deluxe
For most of these games, Nintendo says that “several adjustments have been made to improve the gameplay on Nintendo Switch 2,” without going into detail about what exactly is changing. They follow announcements last month when Nintendo said it would update a dozen games for Switch 2, including titles like Pokémon Scarlet, Pokémon Violet, and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
These updates are independent of paid updates for games such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Party Jamboree, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Third-party developers are also announcing free updates for Switch 2. Fortnite is getting an update offering better frame rates, improved resolution, and access to GameChat. In addition, No Man’s Sky is getting support for multiplayer, touchscreens, gyroscopes, and cross-saves.
