NCRC Withdraws License of Zahalni Merezhi for Provision Of IP-Telephony Services in All Regions of Ukraine

    The National Commission for Regulating Communications (NCRC) has canceled a license of the Lviv-based Zahalni Merezhi Company for provision of fixed international communications with the use of the IP-telephony technology in all regions of Ukraine.

    Ukrainian News learned this from resolution No.165 of the NCRC dated April 15.

    The resolution reads that the NCRC has canceled the license on the ground of a report of the State Communications Inspection and on the ground of paragraph 5, part 1 of article 55 of the law on telecommunications. The provisions stipulate that a reason for canceling a license can be a report about repeated refusal of a provider of telecommunications to allow access of representatives of the NCRC to hold checks or obstacle for such checks.

    The resolution will take effect in ten days after the date of endorsement. The resolution is subject to execution within three month after the installment of the resolution.

    The limited liability company Zahalni Merezhi provides IP-telephony services in Lviv, Kyiv, and Lviv.
