NCRC Obliges Interconnection Monopolies to Conduct Mutual Payments on Basis of Commission’s Fees

    telecomThe National Communications Regulation Commission has obliged communication operators that were declared by the Antimonopoly Committee monopolies on the market of interconnection to provide mutual payments on the basis of commission’s fees.

    This was disclosed in the decision of the NCRC No.299 of July 1.

    The commission also obliged the operators to introduce amendments into relevant contracts during a month from the moment of endorsement of this decision.

    According to the calculated fees for the services of access to telecommunication networks approved by the commission in February, the completion of local connection on fixed telephony operators’ networks is UAH 0.02 per minute, and the completion of intercity connection is UAH 0.18-0.25 per minute.

    Besides, the completion of connections within mobile communication networks while rendering services of fixed intercity and services of mobile communication costs UAH 0.35-0.40 per minute, intercity completion of connections within fixed telephony networks while rendering mobile communication services is UAH 0.25 per minute.

    As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in June, the Antimonopoly Committee again declared interconnect monopolists Ukrtelecom open joint-stock company, Kyivstar GSM closed joint-stock company, Ukrainian Mobile Communications closed joint-stock company (MTS brand), Golden Telecom limited liability company (Beeline brand), International Telecommunications limited liability company (Intertelecom brand), TeleSystems of Ukraine closed joint-stock company (PEOPLEnet brand), and Astelit limited liability company (life:) brand).
