The National Commission for Regulating Communications (NCRC) expects the Astelit mobile communications operator, which provides services under the life:) brand name, and Ukrtelecom, Ukraine’s largest telecommunication company, to sign until March an agreement regulating the mutual connect to their networks (interconnect) in 2009-2010.
Serhii Kolobov, the chairman of the NCRC, said this at a news briefing. According to him, the operators have virtually arrived at agreement on the question of interconnect.
Serhii Kolobov said the Astelit Company is likely to endorse the agreement on February 25 and the agreement will be signed soon after.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Ukrainian Mobile Communications operator (MTS brand), the Kyivstar mobile operator, and the Ukrainian Radiosystems (Beeline brand) have agreed with Ukrtelecom interconnection tariffs for 2009-2010.
