Motorola and Swarovski team up to create the new Razr

Motorola and Swarovski have joined forces to create the crossover they knew we always wanted: a crystal version of the Razr. For those who thought their retro phone wasn’t special enough, the exquisite new Pantone Ice Melt Razr features a 3D quilted leather-like body and 35 hand-placed Swarovski crystals, including one large 26-sided crystal on a hinge.

The Pantone Ice Melt will cost $1,000, but it comes with a pair of Moto Buds Loop headphones. These open-ear headphones are designed to be worn as jewelry – given the Swarovski finishes. Motorola calls this set the Brilliant Collection. A single Motorola Razr usually costs $700, and a pair of Moto Buds Loop will cost you $300, so the $1000 package deal actually means free crystals.

Recently, Motorola has been expanding the Razr lineup, and the company now offers the Razr, Razr Plus, and Razr Ultra. The Pantone Ice Melt version is the design version of the base model and retains the same 3.6-inch cover display, 6.9-inch foldable AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7400X processor, 4500 mAh battery and 50MP primary camera.

Motorola stated that this release is “just the beginning for Motorola Collections,” so we expect to see more collaborative collections in the future. The Brilliant Collection will be available on August 7.
