Moto G04s launched, outperforming the G04 with a significant upgrade

Motorola has silently unveiled the Moto G04s smartphone in Germany. In terms of design and specifications, it is very similar to the Moto G04, which debuted earlier this year. However, there is one striking difference between the two phones. We offer you to familiarize yourself with the technical characteristics of the G04s.

Moto G04s specifications and features

Starting with the front panel, the Moto G04s has a 6.56-inch IPS LCD panel that delivers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a pixel density of 269 ppi, an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of about 85%. The screen is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3. The G04s has a water-repellent design with dimensions of 163.49 x 74.53 x 7.99 mm and weighs 178 grams.

A 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls is located in the perforation of the display. On the back is a 50-megapixel primary camera with LED flash. Both cameras support FHD recording at up to 30 frames per second.

Moto G04s is powered by a Unisoc T606 processor. It comes in a single configuration that offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot on board. The phone supports up to 8 GB of virtual RAM and comes pre-installed with the latest version of Android 14 OS, which is overlaid with the Motorola MyUX shell.

The G04s is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15W charging. However, the retail package of the device includes a 10W charger. The device is equipped with dual SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC (market dependent), GPS, one speaker with Dolby Atmos support, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Moto G04s will be available in four colors: Concord Black, Sea Green, Satin Blue, and Sunrise Orange. No information on pricing and availability is currently available.

To summarize, the Moto G04s is almost identical to the G04 with the only difference being in the main camera department. While the G04s has a 50-megapixel camera, the G04 has a 16-megapixel camera with a lower resolution. Surprisingly, the official images of the G04s still show a 16-megapixel camera on the back.
