Microsoft will help Ukraine to protect its information security

The State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine has signed the agreement on participation in the Microsoft’s Government Security Program.The program provides access to the codes of Windows, Windows Server and other software made by the corporation, according to Microsoft.
So, the competent governmental bodies will be able to see the Windows architecture that would allow them to create the IT infrastructure with a high level of protection.
The program will last 3 years with possibility of further extension.
The signed agreement will significantly expand the possibilities of Ukrainian officials to use modern information technologies from Microsoft with a guaranteed high level of reliability and protection, and will promote the development of modern functional E-Government.
Microsoft’s Government Security Program (GSP) is a component of corporate activities of the world’s software monster aimed at matching its products to the specific governmental requirements for information security. Nowadays above 40 countries have become GSP participants.
The “must” for joining the program is complying with the international standards of protection for intellectual property.
