Microsoft: Ukrainian state bodies seem to be pirates-friendly

    MicrosoftDmytro Shymkiv, General Director of Microsoft Ukraine believes that 50% of computers located in the Ukrainian state bodies have unlicensed OS installed.

    As Mr.D.Shymkiv said in his interview, unlicensed operating systems could be found installed on every second computer that belongs to the Ukrainian state authorities.
    In addition, Mr.D.Shymkiv said that the state authorities of Ukraine were also using unlicensed Office.
    “There are approximately 50% of pirated operating systems and about 70% of unlicensed Office», said Microsoft Ukraine head.

    At the same time, he noted that the licensed Microsoft software has been installed on 7 million computers in Ukraine, including the corporate sector.
    Mr.D.Shymkiv also noted, that “previously, computers were operated 3-5 years, nowadays their service life is increased to 7 years. This affects the market. The longer the computers are not updated, the narrower the market becomes”, said Dmytro Shymkiv.
