Microsoft continues to provide free cloud services in Ukraine

Microsoft will provide free cloud services to Ukrainian government agencies for another year. The company has been helping Ukraine build its digital infrastructure since the establishment of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

According to him, Microsoft is investing in the development of cloud services in Ukraine. The corporation has already provided more than $540 million in free services, technical support, equipment, and grants.

“This greatly helps with the digitalization of government agencies and data protection. For example, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, there have been cases when Russians destroyed Ukrainian archives and offices. However, this did not create a collapse in the country, because the most important data is in cloud storage,” said Fedorov.

This year, Microsoft will again extend cloud access for Ukraine. State-owned defense enterprises, regional authorities, schools, universities and hospitals will be able to use the clouds free of charge until the end of 2024.

“This is an invaluable support for Ukraine in times of war, when most of the budget is spent on the needs of the Defense Forces, social sphere and reconstruction,” the official added.
