The Account Center is a single space that allows users to manage their Facebook, Instagram, and (even) Meta Quest accounts. Today, Meta announced that WhatsApp is joining the list of supported apps, allowing you to share statuses and posts across all your platforms. Additionally, you can use single sign-on to get back to your WhatsApp account.
Meta announced this change today, but it will take time before WhatsApp support is added to each user’s Account Center, so patience may be required. Additionally, Meta has promised to add more features that can be shared across platforms, such as AI stickers, avatars, and selfies created with the help of artificial intelligence. Those who are worried that this might affect WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption can rest easy, as Meta has stated that none of these changes will affect the privacy and security of your messages.
