On November 30, Meizu introduced the Meizu 21 smartphone in China. After the Redmi K70 Pro, which starts at 3299 yuan (~465 USD), the Meizu 21 is the most affordable phone equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. After the Meizu 21 became available for purchase, the company confirmed that it has achieved remarkable success in its initial sales, exceeding the impressive milestone of 100 million yuan in just one second across all sales channels.
Although the company reported what kind of market reaction the Meizu 21 received during its first sale, it did not mention the number of units sold. However, given that the basic version of the Meizu 21 costs 3,399 yuan (~$479) and its highest version costs 3,999 (~$465), we can assume that the brand has sold between 25,000 and 29,440 units of the smartphone.
For those who don’t know, the Meizu 21 comes in three variants such as 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, which are priced at CNY 3,399, CNY 3,699 (~$521), and CNY 3,999 respectively. Buyers can choose from a variety of color options such as Unbounded Black, Smart Purple, Sharp Green, or Meizu White.
