Lifecell launches telecom mutual aid platform

lifecell has launched the Double Charity platform, where subscribers of all operators can buy gigabytes, minutes and SMS for those who are currently unable to top up their accounts. At the same time, lifecell is doubling the amount of “suspended” services.

“Doubly Kind” is a mutual aid platform that allows you to pay for gigabytes, minutes and SMS for those in need and receive help.

As part of the Doubly Kind initiative, subscribers of any operator can buy and post services on the help board, and lifecell will double them and charge twice the amount or extend the offer period. For example, if you donate 5 GB to the help board, lifecell doubles the amount and credits the recipient with 10 GB.

“More than 500 days of full-scale war on the territory of Ukraine have shown the urgent need for everyone to have communication and access to information. Throughout this difficult time, we have been helping our subscribers stay connected by charging service packages, restoring coverage in the liberated territories and helping the military. Now we invite all conscious Ukrainians to join the Doubly Charitable initiative and help those people who cannot afford to top up their mobile accounts. And we, as an operator, will double this help,” said Ismet Yazycı, CEO of lifecell.

In order to join the initiative “Doubly Charitable”, you need to follow the link or use the USSD menu *898#, select the option “Help” or “Get help” and choose the offer.

To provide assistance, the subscriber must select one of the proposed service packages in the appropriate section and pay its cost from a mobile account or bank card. The doubled package will appear in the “Get help” section. If you leave your phone number when purchasing the offer, you will receive an SMS confirmation after the other subscriber receives your help.

To get help, go to the appropriate section and select one of the “suspended” service packages. Lifecell subscribers with less than UAH 50 on their account can receive the assistance, but not more than twice within 28 days.
