The Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation and lifecell mobile operator have launched a fundraiser to raise money for communications for the military, which aims to provide 100 units of the Defense Forces with 100 radio communication sets. The joint fundraiser will be called “Hear Your Own”. The amount of money raised is UAH 14.2 million.
Why
Radio communication is one of the top priorities at the frontline. The effectiveness of the military’s missions, the efficiency of responding to changing situations, and the coherence of their work depend on the availability of secure communications.
Radio sets are needed for:
- secure communication within the unit and with adjacent units;
- communications between the military in areas without mobile coverage;
- transmitting operational information related to combat missions;
- calling for medical evacuation to the wounded.
The purpose of the collection
The goal of the joint fundraising is to raise UAH 14.2 million, which will be used to purchase 100 radio communication sets for 100 units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. One complete set consists of a Motorola DM4400 car radio, a Motorola DP4800 portable digital radio, and five Motorola DP4400 portable digital radios (the estimated cost of the set is UAH 142,000).
It is not only lifecell subscribers who can contribute to providing communication for our defenders. Anyone in Ukraine and abroad can contribute to the collection of the required amount, regardless of which operator they use.
How to make a donation
The teams of lifecell and the Serhiy Prytula Foundation will draw valuable prizes among all those who joined the collection and donated UAH 500 or more at a time: up to a year of mobile communication worth 1 kopeck for lifecell subscribers, branded T-shirts and souvenirs from the Foundation.
You can make your donation on the official page of the “Hear Your Own” collection s.lifecell.ua/pochui. You can follow the start and progress of the project on the official website, social networks of lifecell and the Serhiy Prytula Foundation.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, lifecell has been regularly charging special communication packages for the military, donating telecom and IT equipment worth about UAH 40 million to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and now invites everyone to join the “Hear Your Own” collection.
