Mobile services operator life:) announces about the appointment of the new Mobile Network Deputy General Director Mr. Ekrem Ozorbeyi who will join the operator’s top management team as of February 15th, 2010.
Before accepting the offer to join life:) Ekrem Ozorbeyi held the position of the General Manager of Global Tower which is part to the Turkcell Group. Global Tower is Turkey’s first and only tower infrastructure service provider providing professional installation, leasing and maintenance services for towers, containers, point of presence (PoP) and energy lines to mobile operators, TV & radio broadcasters and operators of civilian or military wireless communication and monitoring systems.
After graduating from Yıldız Technical University in 1986 Mr. Ozorbeyi started his career in this University as Research Assistant, then moved to Telsim as a Planning Engineer in 1995, and continued on to Nortel Turkey (Netas) and Nortel France where he worked from 1996 to 1998.
Mr. Ozorbeyi started to work in Turkcell Group as Turkcell’s Radio Network Project Coordinator in 1998. In 1999 he was appointed as Cell Planning Unit Manager and in July 2006 as Radio Network Division Head. Turkcell Radio network size successfully doubled during his working period. In July 2008 Ekrem Ozorbeyi was appointed as the General Manager of Global Tower.
Ekrem Ozorbeyi also completed post graduate studies at Innsbrug University in Austria in 1993.
