🚀 Thunderbolt 5 Advantages for Creators

Thunderbolt 5 transforms the monitor into a high-speed hub for SSDs, eGPUs, and peripherals. The 120 Gbps bandwidth supports:

  • Real-time 4K rendering.
  • Rapid transfer of 8K RAW files.
  • Optimal choice for video editing and AI-powered video upscaling.
  • Reduced cable clutter, supporting flexible multi-monitor configurations.

🌐 Market Launch

The UltraFine evo 6K monitor began its rollout at the end of September in South Korea and Japan, with a global launch (including the US and European markets) following in October.

The official price for the monitor in key Western and European markets is:

  • United States (LG.com, B&H): $1,999.99 USD (approximately $2,000).
  • United Kingdom (UK): £1,799.97 GBP.
  • Europe (Netherlands, France): €1,799.95 – €1,999.00 EUR (depending on retailer and country).

This price is considered quite competitive for a 6K display, especially with Thunderbolt 5 support, compared to similar professional monitors such as the Apple Pro Display XDR (which starts at $4,999).
