The stockholders of the Kyivstar mobile communication operator have decided to pay UAH 765.2 million of dividends for 2008 financial year, director of liaisons department of Telenor Group Ukraine Anastasia Gogoleva told the Ukrainian News agency.
The decision on the distribution of the profits was taken at the stockholders’ meeting of Kyivstar company on January 13.
According to Gogoleva, the profits will be distributed in compliance with statutory shares of stockholders and should be paid by February 28.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on September 1, the stockholders of the Kyivstar mobile communication operator decided to pay UAH 1.9 billion for the 2008 financial year.
The Telenor telecommunications company owns 56.51% of the shares in Kyivstar and Storm (part of Russia’s Alfa Group) owns 43.49% of the shares.
