On April 22, the Kyivstar mobile communication operator introduced the Svoboda (Freedom) tariff for the prepaid service subscribers, the company said.
In the frames of the tariff plan, 100 minutes are accrued onto the accounts of subscribers daily to call within Kyivstar and 30 minutes to call other Ukrainian mobile and fixed-telephony operators, un.ua says.
After all free minutes are used the cost of calls within Kyivstar is UAH 0.25 and UAH 0.75 to call to other operators.
The subscriber fee is UAH 6 a day.
The connection to Svoboda tariff plan is free.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the number of Kyivstar’s subscribers reduced by 0.03 million or 0.1% to 21.980 million in February, compared with January.
Kyivstar reported a profit of NOK 5.1 billion for the year 2009, when its net revenues reduced by NOK 4.787 billion or 34.6% to NOK 9.047 billion compared with 2008.
The Telenor telecommunication company (Norway) owns 56.51% of the shares in Kyivstar and the Storm company owns 43.49%.
