Kyivstar has provided UAH 1.2 billion in aid

The key areas of assistance included meeting the humanitarian needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, restoring infrastructure, cyber defense, demining the territory of Ukraine, supporting vulnerable groups of the population, etc.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Kyivstar has provided assistance to the state, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and its subscribers totaling over UAH 1.162 billion.

The company has focused its support on implementing projects that help Ukraine overcome the challenges of war and bring victory and peace closer. These include meeting the humanitarian needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, restoring digital infrastructure, countering cybercrime, demining the territory of Ukraine, supporting medical facilities, providing free communications to civil defense facilities, helping vulnerable populations, etc.

In particular, the company has allocated UAH 300 million to restore Ukraine’s digital infrastructure, UAH 55 million to strengthen the country’s cyber defense, UAH 45 million to the Come Back Alive army competent assistance fund, UAH 10 million to equip engineering and sapper groups as part of the We Live Here initiative, and another UAH 10 million to the Unbreakable National Rehabilitation Center for equipment to treat children with burns.

More than UAH 500 million was allocated to provide free communication services to civil defense facilities, educational institutions affected by the destruction, doctors and subscribers in the de-occupied territories. The telecom operator also supports its employees serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine by paying them monthly salaries.

Both employees and volunteer groups of the company and subscribers participate in projects to help the Armed Forces and the population of Ukraine. In particular, Kyivstar employees transferred UAH 2.2 million of their own funds to charitable projects, and subscribers raised more than UAH 46 million using SMS, Dopomoga ZSU, and other telecom services provided by the company. These funds were transferred to the Come Back Alive, Tvoya Opora, Let’s Help, Caritas Ukraine and other charities.

In addition to helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces and society, Kyivstar restores and develops Ukraine’s telecommunications infrastructure, invests in the energy independence of the mobile network, and connects shelters and modular towns for IDPs to free Internet.
