Kyivstar Earns NOK 5.1 Billion In 2009

    Kyivstar, a mobile communication operator, ended 2009 with earnings before interest depreciation taxes and amortization (EBIDTA) of NOK 5.076 billion, reads Norway Telenor’s financial statement.

    In 2009 Kyivstar saw its net revenue down 34.6% or NOK 4.787 billion to NOK 9.047 billion over 2008.
    The operator’s capital expenses (CAPEX) in 2009 made NOK 1.016 billion, down by 51.53% or NOK 1.08 billion against 2008.

    Information from the National Bank of Ukraine, the Norwegian krone to the Ukrainian hryvnia exchange rate made UAH 135.2 for NOK 100 as of February 10.

    As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the company ended the October-to-December quarter of 2009 with EBIDTA of NOK 1.057 billion.

    Kyivstar finished 2008 with EBIDTA of NOK 8.058 billion, its net revenue up 10.09% or NOK 1.27 billion over 2007 to NOK 13.852 billion.

    Telenor telecommunications company (Norway) owns 56.51% of the shares in Kyivstar and Storm (part of Russia’s Alfa Group) owns 43.49%.
