Kaspersky Laboratory Upgrades Status of Its Ukrainian Representative Office

    kasperskyKaspersky Laboratory, a Russian-based software developer, has upgraded the status of its representative office in Ukraine.

    Kaspersky Laboratory’s representative office in Ukraine previously coordinated the company’s operations in Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova. From March 1, Kaspersky Laboratory’s representative office in Ukraine will also coordinate the company’s operations in several European countries (Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greece, Cyprus, Latvia, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Estonia, and Montenegro), un.ua says.

    Andrii Slobodniak has been appointed as the company’s managing director for Eastern Europe. Slobodniak, who previously coordinated the company’s operations in Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova from the Ukrainian representative office, joined the company in September 2005.

    According to Slobodniak, this restructuring decision is aimed at optimizing the company’s business operations in the countries in the region and the decision to upgrade the Kyiv office was dictated by the availability of successful and experienced professional personnel at the Kyiv office.

    According to Slobodniak, his main tasks in his new post are to preserving the company’s leadership in the countries where it is already the leader and to gain the leadership position in the remaining markets.

    Slobodniak said that new vacancies could become available in the company’s Kyiv office as a result of the expansion of the scope of its operations.
