Katy Perry will fly into space on Blue Origin‘s next manned mission, Jeff Bezos’ space company has announced. The pop star will join CBS anchor Gayle King and Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez aboard a New Shepard rocket this spring, marking the 11th human flight.
Along with Perry and Sanchez, who is known for her work as a news anchor and correspondent, the crew will include scientist and activist Amanda Nguyen, film producer Caryanne Flynn, and former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe. Sanchez first spoke about her plans to lead the all-female Blue Origin crew in 2023, but she did not mention who she would take with her on the flight.
