In its traditional monthly rating of popularity Yandex company presented the most searched phrases asked in July 2009 by the Ukrainian users of this search service.
According to Yandex statistics, the first place winner is the theme related to H1N1 flu in Ukraine (90.2 thousand queries). The users were mostly interested in «H1N1», «remantadin swine flu”, “influenza vaccine 2009”.
Second place was taken by a flu epidemic in Ukraine (36.3 thousand queries). The death of a young Russian cinema star Vasiliy Lykshin ranks the third (14.7 thousand requests) in Yandex index.
The TOP-5 search queries in July also include the World Cup draw (9.7 thousand) and a soccer match Ukraine vs United Kingdom (9.5 thousand).
Among the top search queries were also “transition to winter time” (7.000), Halloween (6.700), and the Day of car driver (5.000).
