On December 26, Huawei will launch the Nova 12 series of smartphones in China. The series will consist of Huawei Nova 12 Lite (Vitality Edition), Nova 12, Nova 12 Pro, and Nova 12 Ultra. After leaks and rumors, it is officially reported that the new smartphone will be available in three color variants: Signature Blue, White, and Black. The company took to Weibo to officially tease the upcoming smartphone.
Along with the colors, the new posters show the camera module consisting of three sensors and an LED flash. In particular, the posters show the presence of a 50-megapixel RYYB main sensor with a physical aperture from f/1.0 to f/4.0, as well as the “Nova” engraving on the leather back of the smartphone.

Technical specifications of the Huawei Nova 12 series (expected)
Previous reports suggest that Huawei Nova 12 will have a flat LCD display protected by Huawei Kunlun glass. It may come with Huawei’s own Kirin 830 or Kirin 9000s SoC. A 45,000 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support will be installed. It may debut with two memory options: 12+256 GB and 12+512 GB at a price of 2,999 yuan and 3,499 yuan, respectively. However, the battery will remain the same with an improved 100W charging on the Pro variant, but there will be 2nd generation Kunlun Glass, which may get a new OV50H primary sensor.
Huawei Nova 12 Ultra may also be equipped with 2nd generation Kunlun Glass and 100W charging. However, we don’t have details about the battery capacity yet. A recent leak suggests that it will be powered by the Kirin 9000 SoC, which was recently launched in Huawei’s flagship Mate 60 series. The smartphone seems to have a 12GB+512GB version that will retail for 4,999 yuan.
The Huawei Nova 12 Lite is also expected to be powered by the Kirin 9000s SoC and feature the same 50-megapixel primary rear sensor. Other details are not yet available.
In addition to all the differences, the Nova 12 series will have plastic bezels, a z-axis vibration motor, a fingerprint sensor on the side panel, and a 60-megapixel front camera.
