Last month, the Honor Watch 4 made its debut in China with a number of impressive features, such as a large AMOLED display and an aluminum body. Now, the smartwatch has arrived in Europe, but it is missing a key feature that makes it special.
Honor Watch 4 specifications
The Honor Watch 4 has an aluminum body and a large 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 450×390 pixels. It also has a pixel density of 340 PPI and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
The Chinese version of the smartwatch offers eSIM support, providing independent cellular connectivity without the need for pairing with a smartphone. This means that users can make calls, send messages, and receive notifications from apps directly on the smartwatch. However, the European variant does not have eSIM support, which results in the absence of these features for users in this region.
Additionally, the smartwatch lacks WiFi connectivity, forcing users in the EU to rely on Bluetooth 5.2 to connect the watch to smartphones for functions such as calling, messaging, and receiving notifications.
The smartwatch also features 5ATM water resistance, which means you can wear it while swimming. The watch is equipped with the usual health monitoring features such as heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen monitoring, sleep monitoring, and more.
The Watch 4 is equipped with GPS support and a 451 mAh battery that can last up to 14 days under normal use. Honor defines typical use as continuous heart rate monitoring (smart mode) and sleep tracking, 30 minutes of Bluetooth calls per week, 30 minutes of music playback per week, 90 minutes of exercise with GPS activated per week, 50 messages, 6 incoming calls and 3 alarms per day, and turning on the screen 200 times per day.
Price and availability
The Honor Watch 4 is available on the French website for €149.90 including taxes. In Europe, it is only offered in black color.
