The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution that simplifies and accelerates the import of raw materials for the production of ammunition and combat parts for UAVs in Ukraine. This will stimulate the development of the ammunition market, accelerate and scale up the production of drones, and allow for faster and more efficient provision of UAVs to the Defense Forces.
Ukraine needs to produce large quantities of ammunition and warheads for drones. To do this, manufacturers need to be provided with the necessary raw materials, including explosives and detonators. Currently, raw materials are in short supply, so imports are the solution.
However, obtaining import permits involves many steps that can take up to several months. This significantly delays the supply of the necessary raw materials, and thus the further production of ammunition.
That is why the Government has developed a comprehensive solution to speed up and simplify the procedure for state control over the import of raw materials.
In particular, it will now be easier for manufacturers of ammunition and combat parts:
- registration of an entity engaged in international transfers of goods. To do this, you only need to submit one application and do not need to collect additional documents;
- issuing one-time permits for the import of military and dual-use goods. To do this, you only need to submit an application to the State Export Control Service and a certificate of the end user.
All applications and documents can be submitted electronically and signed by a qualified electronic signature of the manager. The rest of the documents required for issuing the permit will be submitted together with the report on its use.
In the summer, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution that opens up the market for the production of ammunition for UAVs in Ukraine. Manufacturers have received favorable conditions and new opportunities to develop and scale up the production of ammunition for drones.
