On Thursday, Google announced that the Gemini app will receive the Gemini 2.0 Flash AI artificial intelligence model. The updated model “delivers faster responses and higher performance across a range of key tests, providing everyday help with tasks such as brainstorming, learning, or writing,” the company said in a statement.
The changes are being implemented in the Gemini web and mobile applications and will be available to all users. Google also says that you will be able to use Gemini 1.5 Flash and 1.5 Pro within the “next few weeks.”
The company first introduced Gemini 2.0 in December and promised that it was “working quickly” to implement it in its products. It then launched an experimental version of Gemini Flash 2.0 for Gemini users.
On Thursday, Google also announced that Gemini’s image generation capabilities now utilize the latest version of its AI-powered Imagen 3 image generator. According to Google, this model “delivers richer details and textures” and “follows your instructions with greater accuracy.”
