ESET releases the new version Xopero 1.6.0 for backup

ESET announces the release of Xopero 1.6.0, a new version of its backup solution. The new version adds new notifications, labels for backup plans and repositories, and automates some processes to speed up the solution.

Updated notification system

Notifications are now integrated into Xopero ONE to inform users when storage space is available. Users can define a threshold for storage usage that will trigger an email or Slack notification when it exceeds the threshold. In the settings, you can customize the notification features according to your needs for all or for each storage separately.

More convenient interface

From now on, backup plans with active encryption will be marked with an additional icon in the list of plans, including in the dashboard and in the summary of the completed job. To do this, hover over the encryption icon to see details about the level of encryption being used.

The labeling for Ransomware Proof storage has also been updated. This applies to S3 storages with object locking enabled, as well as Xopero Cloud storages. This change can be seen directly in the storage list.

In addition, a section has been added with information about the status of the persistent storage, including inaccessible, enabled, or disabled.

Now, in the main menu, users can access the constantly updated knowledge base by going to the help section.

Faster operation

Now, when using Xopero ONE SaaS and protecting many resources, you can completely deactivate the Cloud Worker cache, allowing the agent to work more efficiently.

Also, in the new version, you do not need to refresh the page when you change the backup activity or replication plan, as this will happen automatically.

For users who protect git repositories and metadata or manage projects in Jira, more information about the main features of Jira Granular Restore is available here.

In addition, the new version of the software from ESET has updated the framework and libraries of the dashboard, improved the chart that summarizes recent tasks, standardized the display of messages across the platform, and added new interactive tips.
