Details about the Vivo Pad 3 chipset have emerged

Vivo recently debuted on the Chinese market with the Vivo X100 and V100 Pro smartphones. The brand, owned by BBK Group, equipped the smartphones with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. The flagship chipset from MediaTek is planned to equip many other devices in the future. The company has many products in development that will debut in the first half of 2024. Some of them include Vivo X100 Ultra, Vivo X Fold 3, Vivo X Flip 2, and others. The report revealed that Vivo is working on a successor to the Vivo Pad 2, which debuted in April 2023. Digital Chat Station has revealed the chipset details of the upcoming Vivo Pad 3 tablet.

Vivo Pad 3 will continue to run on MediaTek’s flagship chipsets

Vivo equipped the Vivo Pad 2 with MediaTek’s then-flagship Dimensity 9000 SoC, built on a 4nm process. Digital Chat Station confirms that the upcoming Vivo Pad 3 will be equipped with the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. The chipset is built on TSMC’s 4nm process technology and has one Cortex-X4 core with a clock speed of 3.25 GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores with a clock speed of 2.85 GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz and Mali-G720 Immortalis MP12.

The upcoming tablet is expected to debut alongside the Vivo X100 Ultra smartphone. Previous reports suggest that Vivo may debut the smartphone in April 2024. Earlier it was reported that the upcoming Vivo X100 will be launched under the name Vivo X100 Pro+. Vivo intends to equip the Vivo X100 Ultra smartphone with the recently debuted Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Digital Chat Station did not reveal any other specifications of the upcoming Vivo Pad 3 tablet.

It is expected that Vivo will continue to release a new Pad 3 tablet with a design similar to its predecessors. Vivo released the Pad 2 tablet with a lot of bezels on the top and bottom of the display. The dual rear cameras were placed in the upper left corner with a placement similar to smartphones with a round camera module. As a reminder, Vivo has equipped the tablet with a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1968 x 2800 pixels.

The display supports 1B colors, 144 Hz refresh rate, HDR10, 600 nits peak brightness and 284 PPI pixel density. The device is based on an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC chipset built on a 4nm process technology. The chipset has one Cortex-X2 core clocked at 3.05 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.85 GHz, four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz, and a Mali-G710 MC10 graphics processor. The tablet runs Origin OS 3 based on Android 13 out of the box.

The chipset is paired with 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage. The two rear cameras include a 13-megapixel primary lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. The 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture is placed in a horizontal orientation. The tablet is equipped with a large 10,000 mAh battery with 44W wired fast charging technology. Vivo also equips the tablet with 5W reverse wireless charging technology.
