The Concern of Radio Broadcasting, Radio Communications and Television (RRT) is going to introduce digital television broadcast in nine cities this year, Kostiantyn Lutsenko, RRT deputy director general, told Ukrainian News.
The Concern has applied to the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council for licensing digital television broadcast as it is ready to offer it from January, the deputy director general noted.
The concern has already reached preliminary agreements with some TV companies, Lutsenko added. The services are to be rendered in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Simferopol, Ternopil, Uzhgorod and Chernihiv.
The Concern of Radio Broadcasting, Radio Communications and Television (RRT) is a state satellite, television, radio, and relay broadcast operator. It makes television and radio broadcast all over Ukraine and satellite broadcast in European countries. The Concern is supervised by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
