Anthropic‘s Claude can now create and edit designs in Canva’s visual studio via AI chat. This integration works on a Canva server that uses Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP). Claude can use Canvas tools to create designs or search for materials in a user’s Canva workspace. This functionality requires a paid subscription to Claude, and access to it also depends on the user’s Canva plan.
Many AI platforms have started using MCPs to connect their models to applications. Anthropic introduced its MCP in November, and earlier this month announced that Wiley and Panopto have created MCP servers to connect to Claude.
In addition, Anthropic now has a catalog of all platforms that use MCP technology. From this catalog, users can find and access remote services and local applications that connect to Claude. Remote connections require a subscription. It is likely that the company will continue to expand the list of supported services and make its chatbot active on more third-party platforms.
