Association of software producers Business Software Alliance (BSA) is calling on the Cabinet of Ministers to foresee in the national budget for 2010 expenses on legalisation of software at state agencies.
According to the statement, BSA is recommending that the government make changes to the draft state budget, including a separate item of expenditure for software legalisation in each ministries’ budget, and audit software to evaluate the amount of this sum.
The Association also advises that the government in three months work out and publish an action plan for legalisation of software at the government and appoint persons responsible for implementation of this plan.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, BSA includes such companies as Adobe Systems Inc., Altium, Apple, Autodesk, Bentley Systems, Corel, CyberLink, Dassault Systems SolidWorks Corporation, Embarcadero, Famatech, FrontRange Solutions, Mamut, Materialise Software, Microsoft, Mindjet, NedGraphics, O&O Software, Quark, Ringler-Informatik, Scalable Software, Siemens, Staff & Line, Symantec, Tekla and The MathWorks.
