The mobile operator URS (TM Beeline) plans to provide 3G services to its subscribers since January, 2010, according to the Ukrainian mass-media repots.
The legal basis for this move is a recently signed new company’s agreement with the mobile unit of the state-owned Ukrtelecom» (Utel) on bilateral national 3G-roaming in 2010, which enables Beeline subscribers to have mobile broadband data exchange up to 3.6 Mbps through the Utel network that accounts more than 110 locations.
According to the URS, the tariffs for 3G services will be published just before the commercial launch. The charges will be quite competitive in comparison with the existing mobile GPRS/EDGE, the company said.
