Asus ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro, Zenfone 11 Ultra received Bluetooth SIG certification

In October, Asus confirmed that the upcoming ROG Phone 8 series of gaming phones will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Over the following weeks, one of the ROG Phone 8 variants appeared in the databases of Geekbench and the Chinese certification platform 3C. The arrival of the ROG Phone 8 series seems inevitable, as it has now received approval from the Bluetooth SIG. In addition, the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra was certified on the same certification platform.

ROG Phone 8, Zenfone 11 Ultra series are Bluetooth SIG certified

As you can see, ROG Phone 8 with model numbers ASUS_AI2401_D, ASUS_AI2401_A, ASUS_AI2401_C and ASUS_AI2401_E has received Bluetooth SIG approval.

The ROG Phone 8 Pro with similar model numbers, such as ASUS_AI2401_A, ASUS_AI2401_C, and ASUS_AI2401_F, has also received Bluetooth SIG certification.

As a reminder, the AI2401_A variant was spotted with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 16GB of RAM, and Android 14 on Geekbench, as well as a 65W fast charger in the Chinese 3C certification. On the other hand, the AI2401_D variant with 24 GB of RAM has appeared on Geekbench. There is a possibility that one of the ROG Phone 8 variants, probably with 24 GB of RAM, could be introduced to the market as the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate.

In August, it was reported that the Zenfone 10, which debuted earlier this year, might be the last phone in the brand’s Zenfone series. However, Asus quickly denied these rumors, officially confirming that it will continue to produce the Zenfone line. Now, as you can see in the screenshot above, the Zenfone 11 Ultra with the ASUS_AI2401_H index is also in development. Now that the Ultra variant has been spotted, it looks like there may be at least one more model in the lineup that will be called the Zenfone 11. Unfortunately, nothing is known about the specifications of the Zenfone 11 series.

The Bluetooth SIG certification also shows that all of the above devices will support Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The ROG Phone 8 series is likely to be available in Q1 2024 in various markets.
