There is only a month left until Apple’s fall event. The Cupertino-based tech giant follows the tradition of presenting the next generation of iPhone, Apple Watch Series, iPad Pro, and other new products in September. A recent report revealed a potential launch date for the event.
Now, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg in his latest newsletter “Power On” has revealed the launch date and sales of the iPhone 15.
In his newsletter, Gurman reports that Apple will unveil the iPhone 15 on September 13, which confirms a previous report. However, there is also a possibility that the launch may take place a day earlier – on September 12. It is worth noting that Apple also follows the ritual of launching its products on the second Tuesday of the month.
It is also reported that the iPhone 15 will go on sale on September 22. This means that the Cupertino-based tech giant will have a week to register iPhone 15 sales in the fourth fiscal quarter, which will last until September. Last week, Apple acknowledged that the smartphone market is facing a slowdown. The company said that it has been in a state of decline in the US for the past few quarters. This is a challenge for the next generation of iPhones, which is due to debut in a few weeks.
Sales of the iPhone 15 series will be tested during the holiday quarter, which runs from October to November. Sales of the last three generations of iPhones suffered shortly after launch due to various factors such as trade tensions between the US and China, the COVID-19 pandemic, and supply chain constraints. This year’s iPhone 15 lineup is also expected to contain significant upgrades over the iPhone 11. So, we can expect the next generation of phones to perform better.
Leaks and rumors have revealed a lot of information about the iPhone 15 series left, right, and center. Moreover, they are expected to gain momentum in the coming weeks as we get closer to the official launch.
