Ukrainian Radiosystems, the mobile communications operator that uses the Beeline trademark, has doubled the capacity of the channels in the Dnipropetrovsk-Kyiv segment of its trunk network to 10 gigabits per second.

The increase of the capacity of the channels will prevent problems involving traffic, loss of packets, and overload of the network in general, as well as guarantee provision of quality services to private and corporate Internet users in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia.

Beeline’s trunk network is based on fiber-optic communications lines with a length of about 16,000 kilometers connected directly to the overland networks of foreign operators through five cross-border transfers — three western (one in Poland and two in Hungary) and two eastern (in Russia).

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Beeline increased the capacity of the channel that connects its fiber-optic network called «Beeline Internet at Home» to the trunk network by 50% to 30 gigabits per second on January 20.
