Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy XCover 7 smartphone, which is the successor to the Galaxy XCover 6 released last year. The phone also offers 5G wireless connectivity, as well as more storage for increased productivity.

Samsung says that the new Galaxy XCover 7 rugged smartphone is powered by an unnamed 6nm octa-core chip, which could well be the Dimensity 6100+. The Galaxy XCover 7 is equipped with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1 TB via microSD slot. The camera of the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 includes a 50-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The phone also comes with a customizable XCover key, barcode scanner function with Knox Capture, and Dolby Atmos audio.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 has a 4050 mAh battery that can be replaced as needed. It weighs 240 g and measures 169 x 80.1 x 10.2 mm. The phone also features a 3.5mm audio jack, POGO pins, and a USB-C port. The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 will run on Android 14 and One UI 6 out of the box.

The phone will be launched in late January 2024. Samsung has not provided information on the price and global availability of the Galaxy XCover 7 smartphone.
