International Telecommunication Company (ITC), the company that operates fixed-line telephone in the CDMA standard under the CDMA Ukraine brand name, has launched commercial operation of its third-generation (3G) wireless Internet service in Sevastopol from January 21.
The company is providing the wireless Internet service in the standard CDMA2000 1х EV-DO Rev.A, which belongs to the 3G standard. The data speed in the network is up to 3.1 Mbit/sec.
ITC earlier launched 3G wireless Internet services in Kyiv, the Kyiv region, Lviv, Lutsk, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Berdichiv, Uzhhorod, and Vinnytsia.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on January 18, ITC launched a 3G wireless Internet service in Vinnytsia.
ITC is a Ukrainian-American joint venture founded in 1996.
Intertelecom, Telesystems of Ukraine, Ukrtelecom, and CST Invest also provide fixed-line cellular telephone services in the CDMA standard in Ukraine.
