Ukraine starts closed beta testing of uResidency

The uResidency e-Residency program will allow foreign nationals to register a business in Ukraine and run it from anywhere in the world.

In uResidency, all services are automated and online: from applying for a status to opening a bank account and paying taxes. Future e-residents will also have advantages in the form of mobile banking, low taxation of 5%, and no accounting and reporting.

What are the benefits for Ukraine?

  • Taxes of e-residents will go to the Ukrainian budget.
  • Development of the banking sector by scaling digital products to foreign markets.
  • Additional opportunities for attracting investments.
  • Increased position in international rankings, for example, on the ease of doing business in the country.

Who is it for?

The program is aimed at small business owners from Asia and Europe. In particular, IT professionals and specialists in the creative economy.

After successful beta testing, uResidency will be available to citizens of the pilot four countries – India, Pakistan, Thailand, and Slovenia.

Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov

Favorable conditions

“We have been working on this program for three years, and we are finally launching beta testing,” says Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to him, only a few countries in the world currently offer e-residency. Ukraine will provide foreign entrepreneurs with the most favorable conditions for paying taxes and a human-centered service where business can be done in a few clicks.

“We have already shown the world that digitalization and the creation of convenient services are our superpower. uResidency will only strengthen this status,” adds Fedorov.

The uResidency project is being implemented with the support of the European Union under the EU4DigitalUA and DT4UA projects, implemented by the Estonian Academy of Electronic Governance.
