Earlier this year, Xiaomi released the Pad 6 series of tablet computers. Now, the company is reportedly working on the next model, the Pad 7 series. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, one of the models in the upcoming series, was reportedly spotted in Mi Code by people from GSMChina.
According to the publication, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro has the code name “sheng”, which means musical instrument in Chinese. This is in line with Xiaomi’s tradition of using musical instrument names as codenames for its Pad series tablets.
The device has the model number “N81A” and is equipped with a 10-inch panel manufactured by Tianma. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is expected to feature an LCD panel with a 1480×2367 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. This is a change in screen size compared to the 11-inch display of the previous generation Pad 6 Pro.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is rumored to be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which coincides with previous leaks from Digital Chat Station.
In addition, GSMChina suggests that the tablet will be equipped with four stereo speakers, just like its predecessor, the Pad 6 Pro. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is also expected to run the HyperOS operating system based on Android 14.
GSMChina also reports that the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro may be exclusive to the Chinese market, just like its predecessor, the Pad 6 Pro.
There is no official confirmation on the Xiaomi Pad 7 series, so treat this information with caution. We will continue to provide updates on the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro as more information becomes available.
