The long-awaited presentation of the new iPhone generation took place September 12. The Cupertino company presented four models: the basic 6.1-inch iPhone 15, the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, and the flagship iPhone 15 Pro Max. The company decided to drop the Ultra name, but perhaps this variant will be released next year.
Key changes
All iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models offer great performance, but the Pro versions provide a more immersive experience with high screen refresh rates and additional cameras.
The Pro versions have a titanium body, making them 10% lighter than the Pro versions of previous years. The titanium edging also adds strength to the gadget, so even if the smartphone is dropped from a height, the likelihood of global damage is minimal.
The camera deserves special attention. In addition to improved performance, the Pro Max has a periscope camera that allows for five times zoom.
The outdated Lightning port has been replaced with USB Type-C in all models of the line. The phones will have Dynamic Island, an updated notch at the top of the screen that takes up less visual space. This feature was first added to the iPhone 14 Pro last year as a tool for tracking current activity, such as directions or music.
Features of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max:
- High refresh rate display: LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED screen with support for refresh rates up to 120 Hz provides a smoother, more responsive experience.
- The new A17 Bionic chipset has the most powerful performance and energy efficiency to date. The operating time of Pro models will be significantly higher than that of basic iPhones.
- 8GB of RAM provides outstanding performance and multitasking.
- Wider choice of storage: With up to 1TB of NVMe storage, you can choose from models with up to 1TB of storage, allowing you to store more data.
The Pro version comes in four colors: black, dark blue, dark gray, and light gray.
The “stuffing” of the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus:
- The models are equipped with Super Retina XDR OLED screens with high resolution and support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
- The A16 Bionic chipset provides high performance and fast operation of applications and games.
- 6 GB of RAM and three storage options. Users can choose models with 128, 256 and even 512 GB NVMe storage.
- The models have a 48-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 12-megapixel front camera.
- Fast charging, 5G and Wi-Fi 6 support.
“The Fifteen” will come in five colors: black, blue, pink, white, and yellow.
All models are still reliably protected from water and dust and comply with the IP68 standard, as well as equipped with the Face ID facial scanner.
