The Ministry of Digital Transformation held a meeting of the working group on anti-corruption digital tools. This was the first meeting of the interagency group established by the Government in June.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers formed a clear common vision of anti-corruption measures and is now moving according to the plan set out in the State Anti-Corruption Program.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
“Our task is to launch 63 digital products over the next 3 years. They will affect almost the majority of Ukrainians. We plan to implement 14 innovative solutions by the end of this year alone. The next steps include an electronic court, digital registries and systems, more services in the app and on the Diia portal,” the official said.
First results
According to him, there are already first interim results of the interagency group’s work:
- The eCase Management System, a service that reduces the time for pre-trial investigation, has been implemented.
- It is now possible to enter additional information into the Unified State Register of Individuals and Legal Entities.
- A system was launched to monitor the implementation of the anti-corruption program.
Anti-corruption effect.
Experience shows that the digital transformation of the state has a powerful anti-corruption effect. In just 2 years, the state has saved UAH 16.3 billion thanks to digital solutions. Millions of Ukrainians use public services online, key registries are digitalized, and some services – from opening a sole proprietorship to obtaining a certificate in Diia – are automatic.
The next meeting of the working group will be held within a month. Fedorov, together with Oleksandr Novikov, head of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention, and colleagues from the Ministry of Recovery, the Ministry of Economy, and the Ministry of Defense, will review new digital developments.
The potential economic and anti-corruption effect of digitalization is UAH 48 billion.
“WE ARE CONTINUING THE TRANSFORMATION SO THAT MONEY DOES NOT END UP IN THE POCKETS OF OFFICIALS, BUT WORKS FOR VICTORY,” ADDS FEDOROV.
